What led you to Beghou?
“After studying bioengineering at the University of Maryland, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in the life sciences industry. Beghou offered a unique blend of consulting and data analytics that served the life sciences clients that interested me.”
What are your hobbies outside of work?

“I enjoy hanging out with friends, doing Pilates, hiking, playing video games and of course, cuddling my two cats, Leo and Nala. Leo was a “foster fail” – he was my first foster pet and I just couldn’t give him up.”

What does a typical day at work look like?

“Coffee comes first! From there, I check emails and review processes that run overnight. After that, I’m usually in and out of meetings, collaborating with other team members, writing code, or pulling client deliverables together. At the end of the day, I make sure nothing urgent came up throughout the day and check in with my teammates before signing off for the night.”

What’s the best advice you were ever given?
“My mom always used to say “seek to understand first”. Most arguments are caused by miscommunication and misunderstanding, and communicating well upfront can prevent and solve a lot of problems.”
What’s your favorite part of working at Beghou? Why?
“The people. Everyone is so smart, nice and helpful. My friends outside of work are jealous of me when I tell them I am friends with my coworkers and everyone gets along. Everyone at Beghou is dedicated to our work and works really hard.”
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
“I wanted to be an architect. I watched HGTV with my mom and played the Sims video game where I loved building houses.”
What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
“I frequently use Mainsail, Beghou’s cloud-based application platform, during my day-to-day client work. So, I am working to strengthen my developer skills, including learning JavaScript and CSS, to better understand the back-end of Mainsail and help develop these systems. My colleague Dan Cardinal has been a huge help in teaching me to see how a system is set up, beyond the day-to-day side of the tool. I really appreciate that Beghou values personal growth and provides me with the resources and mentorship to build new skills. “
What place (real or fictional) would you most like to visit? Why?
“Armenia. My mom’s side of the family is Armenian and I’ve never been to that part of the world.”
