Beghou Consulting is currently seeking an accounting professional for our Evanston, IL headquarters.  The Accounting Associate will have responsibility for accounting and administrative related functions, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting quarter-end close procedures including preparation/review of journal entries
  • Assisting invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and facilitating payments to vendors
  • Assisting credit card and bank reconciliation
  • Budgeting and variance analysis
  • Other tasks related to month-end accounting
  • Processing weekly employee reimbursable expenses
  • Payroll back up – maintain and process payroll including new hires, terminations, rate changes, etc.
  • Assisting with annual audit work papers and with on-site auditors as necessary
  • Assisting in quarterly and yearly financial statement
  • Managing quarterly state tax filling in multiple states
  • Administrative support to the Accounting Manager
  • Assist and manage various ad hoc finance and accounting projects

This position will perform non-routine accounting functions to support the growth of our company.  Applicants must have 1-3 years of related accounting experience and possess a proactive, team-oriented attitude.  Additional skills and qualifications are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to details
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, QuickBooks and Sage 50 is a plus
  • Highly organized and efficient
  • High integrity with a strong work ethic
